Poor quality furniture - not worth the money or time. Almost as poor customer service

I was always a fan of at home - one of my favorite shops to visit and browse. Stunning furniture. Until I actually got around to purchasing a few of their pieces. The furniture I purchased was as poorly made. I purchased an expensive L couch - when it was delivered, the pieces didn’t even fit together but the delivery guys forced it. Not even a month in and there was indentations in the couch where people say that would not go away. After months of squabbling with at home - poor customer service - April I think, it was finally replaced. The squabbling came from them putting the couch on my partners name when we specifically asked to pay half and teller sales person put it on his name: when it came around to trying to get an exchange as per their policy, it was a nightmare because he was always busy working in hospital to be able to be there for them to accept the exchange. 2 month later and it was finally sorted. Got a replacement couch. Only to have that couch have the exact same faults. With stitching coming our. It was now the end of the year and they closed their factories so couldn’t make the exchange. I was assured once the new year had started that I would have a replacement. After calling for the whole month of Jan, someone finally got back to me. And it was once more replaced - this time, they had paid attention to the faults and redesigned it. Once more it was deliver, for the third time. And again seemed to not be able to fit together, although fitted better than the first time. The delivery guys once more forced it. Now I’m sitting with a creaking couch that seems to sound like it’s about to break up very time you sit in the small part of the L. Been emailing since March. I got one response saying they cannot help at the moment as it’s Lock down - and it was a very reasonable reason. Now stores are open. I’ve been emailing customer service and Dave Deckel I think the manager of Century city branch from which I made the purchase - still awaiting a response. One response I received was that he was on leave. It’s now a few weeks later. Could he still really be on leave? I didn’t even get an email suggesting so. On top of the couch nightmare. We bought two lovely bar stools. We hardly ever used but I noticed at the ***** insertions the wood was broken and damage. On further inspector it seems that the siting part of the chair, was moving up and down - ie whine you’d it on it, the wood of the chair moved down as it appears it cannot get actually bear the weight of the sitter. Because I can move it back into place. It’s funny how I paid over R2000 per bar stool that can’t even serves its sole purpose as a chair without getting severely damaged. I’m also still waiting on a response to answer this question. Terrible terrible furniture quality. Definitely not worth the money!
