No product guarantee Gift Registry
I got married in August 2014. We had made use of the online Gift Registry where family members and friends purchased our gifts from. One of the items given to us from the gift registry was a Breville Kettle. We had used it for only a month before it had stopped working.
I had taken the Kettle in to the Cresta branch where i was told by the Stock Controller (Jeffery):
1) They cannot repair kettles
2) The kettle was bought from a gift registry and therefore has no receipt and if they could replace it, there is no stock of the product.
3) In order to have the kettle replaced, I would need to track down the person that had given us the gift and ask for a receipt.

I was very upset and told Jeffery that this was unacceptable as there is proof that the product was purchased from @Home as it was bought of the Gift Registry for which i had an account number.

I was then told that he would need to speak to the Area Manager. I was called several times this week by Jeffery to confirm the gift registry number and my full name.

The matter is still not resolved and its been a week and I don't have a kettle. I think I would have been better off buying an appliance from Checkers.
