Is the money on the gift used or not.

On the 31st of March 2022 at 10:26, my farewell @gift card from my previous job. However my gift card was lost and i was left with the receipt.

Went to @home for them to check if the amount of R1600 was used or not. Their head office confirmed that they cannot help. They require a card as the receipt will not help them to trace.

Receipt reflects the last 4 digits of the gift card number as well as the Tran no and expiry date. But still confirmed that they wont help me. This mean a loose from my side.if money is not used.they will then win the amount.

Im very much concern since it was my farewell gift and i need to know if money was used or not. I believe that there is many ways that this matter could be trace than just saying 'it is my lost'. Pls help
