Injury in @home store

On Sunday 16 February I was in the Tygervalley Store. I was in the bedding department when I reached up on a slanted shelf to feel a pillow. Next thing, the shelf is coming down and falling on my leg. There was absolutely no sales assistant in the department at the time this occurred. Only once they heard the crash, did someone come over and all the assistant could say to me was "Ooh Sorry Madam". There was no let me get a manager and as we need to report this. I still shopped around the store for a bit in pain and a burning sensation on my top leg. When I got to the tills, I asked the lady at the till if there was anyone I needed to report the incident to. It just so happened to be the manager that was on duty for the day. She was shocked and made me fill in forms and statements. Took photos of my leg which was red and swollen. She tried phoning the doctor in the mall but there was no answer - obviously being a Sunday. Over the next few days, the bruising and swelling became a lot worse. I contacted the manager at the store and asked if I could send updated photos of my bruising. She agreed and then asked me for all the same information that was filled in on the incident report on the 16th. She said she would send the information onto Head Office.

Today 07 March and I have not had any feedback. In the meantime, I still have huge bump on my leg that is tender to the touch. The manager made such a big fuss on the day of the incident but has failed to follow up to see if I have recovered or to provide any feedback on the outcome from the so called investigation.
