How to reduce your clientele by one

On Sunday I went to @Home in Cavendish to buy a TV stand and a bookshelf. The price quoted for the TV stand had a cash value and an instalment value. With the latter, there was a * and beneath, an explanation of the % interest, and that there would be additional deliver and assembly charges. No * with the cash price, though. When I asked about purchasing the TV stand cash, I was told it will be and additional R500 odd (about 10% of the cash cost) to deliver it and assemble it. I asked about buying the unit on the floor, but that one was not for sale. I asked about stock in the shop, but they had none (although they did have several of the bookshelf (which had similar cash and instalment pricing details). So, although they displayed a cash price with no explanation about additional (i.e. hidden costs) I was given short shrift when suggesting that this may be against the Consumer Protection Act, but I refrained from suggesting that perhaps he could be a smart sales floor-manager and offer me the unit at the displayed cash price as a once off - with the rider that he then amend his pricing display to clearly show the additional costs.
So @Home has lost me as their client.
