Gift Card Replacement

On the 22 April 2016 I went to @ Home Store in Hemmingways, East London to buy a gift card of R3000. I lost the gift card and I immediately went back to the store to report the lost card, with the intention of blocking and getting the new one. To my amazement the Manager of the store, did not know a thing about card replacement and could not assist in any way. I called their Head Office and I was told that they could still see the balance and told me that they have blocked it. Now the challenge is for them to reissue the gift card, I have been sent from pillar to post with no assistance.

This has costed me financially and emotionally as I would call using my cellphone, I have incurred lots of unneccessary costs because of the store who refuse to give me my R3000. To sum it up they are now telling me that my lost gift card is like a lost cash....HOW? After the head office confirmed that the card still had money on it and that they blocked it. Because of their pathetic service and inconsistency in giving the right information I am no longer interested in their gift card. I have been asking for my money back and I am told that I must consider it as lost cash. I am so disappointed in their service and I want nothing to do with them EVER AGAIN!!!

Funny enough, last year my collegue lost a gift card from @Home and hers was replaced. What type of inconsistency is that.
