Doing the right thing does not pay

I fell ill and due to treatment my financial situation changed during which time I contacted the offices of @Home to make arrangements on still paying my account monthly on a fixed amount that I can afford. During this time my husband got retrenched but I honored the arrangement that I made with the company. They keep on phoning me demanding full payment of the amount in arrears immediately. Everyone promises to make a note on the system about the situation till an hour later when the next person from @Home calls and the whole conversation starts all over again. Felicia even had me holding the on for about 15-20 min talking to a supervisor that promised to send the information to the admin department -as now they saw that I did make an arrangement and kept to it - to update the arrangement to a different payment plan, which the next person that phoned had no idea about as the promised note on the system never happened. So now I want to know why did I take the time to make arrangements when a company keeps to harass you with demands of full payment. So maybe it will just be easier to ignore the account and stop paying as they anyway despite my effort to do the right thing just don't care for anything or anyone.
