Delivery request completely disregarded by @home

Delivery instructions: This is a gift, please ensure outer packaging in order not to reveal contents

The above is a cut and paste from the order I recently placed for an air fryer to be delivered to an address in Cape Town. I warned the recipient that it was coming and he was not to open the parcel but to keep it for my arrival as it was a Christmas present for him. He called to say it had been delivered, and that it was unwrapped. I complained to customer services, they sent me to online services, who simply said they don’t gift wrap any longer. I didn’t ask for gift wrapping! So be warned …. They couldn’t be bothered to use a large plastic bag, or cardboard box, or brown paper. It’s Takealot and Loot for me from now on.
