@HOME DECEIVING YOUR CUSTOMERS
@Home part of the TFG Group recent had an online discount on selected nougat. A 20% discount was app**** to the full price on check-out. I bought 3 as gifts. When the package arrived it was nicely wrapped in a cardboard box with black gift paper inside, however when I opened the box I noticed the boxes that the nougat came in was broken and damaged. But the worst was that I was sent expired goods. The one had an expiry date for March 2022. The boxes looked liked it was last year stock at last year's prices. I got charged the 2022 prices at R149 and R139 but the boxes were all marked with price tags of R20 and R30 lower.
These expired goods should not be even sold for consumption. And the worst is that they charge you the full prices for expired food. If they want to get rid of old stock the discount should at least be 50% or lower. I opened 1 box and the nuts were completely stale.
I would now have to drive a distance to @Home store to return them but I would like other customers to please check the expiration dates when buying food stuff on sale from @Home.
TFG group should be ashamed of such reckless sales especially when one can get food poisoning from such goods.
What is the reason to sell the damaged boxes to customers? How does one gift expired goods and damaged goods to loved ones? Your online prices should not deceive customers!!!
