Charged full amount on free cancellation booking

I booked accommodation at the Ambassador hotel through [URL Removed] for 5 nights in March. We were not sure where we wanted to stay and it was over a busy time so we booked and made sure it was one with free cancellation.<br> Needless to say I was charged 50% on 12/02 and another 50% on 16/02. I cancelled the booking on the 16/02 and received an email from [URL Removed] stating it was a free cancellation and no fee will be charged.<br> I have called Home from Home and they have said that the booking was non refundable.<br> That is not how it was advertised through their booking agent! I believe they should honour their booking conditions as were sent to me and refund me the money. <br> I feel misled and cheated by them!!!
