Goods not received

I ordered goods online and paid for it on the 8th December 2020 and I still have not received the package. No one has been in contact with me to advise on the delay, delivery was supposed to take 5-7 days but when I follow up with Morne at Shop number 8 Main road Pe, he refers me to the courier company to track the parcel , why must I deal with those people because I ordered my goods from Home etc not the courier company . Has my R1300 just gone down the drain?
