Holster shoes - terrible quality - 2 pairs broken

I bought a pair of Holsters from Step Ahead in Rivonia in the Spring of 2014. They were R799. I loved the jewelled effect and got so many compliments. In February 2015 I was walking through Sportsmans Warehouse and the one just broke at the join of the strap and the sole. I was devastated. I couldn't walk barefoot, so I spent R299 on a pair of slops at Sportsmans. I was just within my 6 month period, had kept my receipt, and the box they came in, and the ladies at Step Ahead gave me another pair. I cherished my second pair. I wore them much less frequently than the first pair. Winter came, and two weeks ago (20 November) I attended a wedding. They broke during a normal walk across the room. I had to drive home from the wedding and put on my R99 Woolworths sandals. I took them back to Step Ahead to complain. I have never had shoes break in my life, not to mention the same make and design! Now Step Ahead refuse to replace them and Holster are saying I'm out of my 6 month warranty. My argument is I never wore them for 6 months, because of winter. They are still new - hardly worn. These shoes are *******. I would never recommend them. The service has been shocking. A huge loss for me.
