Disapointed and let down

I had desided to propose to my girlfriend in the begining of the year so i have been starting to plan on how i would propose to her ever since.

I then searched for a place with a view of part of johannesburg and came across the Holiday inn at 123 Rivonia Rd, Sandton as they have the Skye Bar.

On Friday the 11th November 2016 i physically went to the Skye Bar at Holiday inn to see for my self what it looked like as i wanted to have the best scene possible for the proposal requirements, i spoke to a staff member by the name of Lovemore and explained what my entensions where, we then started discussing how we would set it up in the Skye Bar area and how the seating would be positioned and what drinks and food would be prepared on arrival. Once the set up was arrange i had booked for the two of us for Saturday the 19th November 2016 at 5pm.

I was assured that everything would be in place and would look good for me for my proposal then i left.

On the 18th November 2016 at 7:37pm the night before my proposal to my girlfriand i recieved a call from the manager for the Skye Bar by the name of Lyfoyb Bhachi telling me that he had a function for a number of people on at the Skye Bar around the same time of my booking for my proposal so he said he had to cancel my booking.

As my booking was the minority and the function was the majorty the manager said to me that there would not be any space for us to even sit down.

I explained that this was not fair on me as he just informed me the night before i was supposed to propose leaving me no time at all to make other arrangements and i had made the booking in advance physicly at the venue and had the right to the booking.

I told him i cannot eccept how i was just pushed away as i did not deserved to be. This is unecceptable!

I believe that you only propose once in your life and i wanted it to be in this way at the Skye Bar as this is what the venue had to offer in terms of the view and the scene.

The conversation ended with the manager canceling my booking for my wedding proposal and leaving me with no plans for this occasion.

I am disapointed and feel very let down!
