Overpriced, bad service & no desire to offer guest a good/ enjoyable experience

It is very obvious that the rooms are not properly checked/ prepared prior to guest check-in.

I was placed in a room where the shower drain was completely blocked - they sent a guy to come unblock the shower and it was so disgusting to see what he pulled out of that shower drain. He also poured some chemicals into the drain while I was still in the room and the fumes were so strong that I had to leave the room.

Not even 1 bottle of water in the room. Was very surprised that they did not even have bottled water in the rooms - I travel a lot and even in the worst/ cheapest hotels I have stayed in you would always have bottled water... Surely at a price of over R1,400 per night you can supply 1 complimentary bottle of water per room...???

We booked a hotel close to the beach hoping to at least have an ocean view… The hotel was quiet empty with not many guests, but despite this we were placed in rooms on the 2nd level not facing the ocean, but instead facing a noisy construction site...
