Broken Roof Rack

I have had a Holdfast rack fitted to my Car just before the December holidays. The second time I used the rack to carry my kayaks it broke and caused me in excess of R60 000 woth of damages. The kayaks narrowly missed the car behind me and would certainly have killed them if it did hit their car. I took the rack in to Campworld Mossel Bay where I bought the rack from and asked to be reimbursed for my insurance excess, a damaged paddle not covered and for a refund, a very small claim considering the total damage caused, the rest being covered by my personal insurance.<br> <br> After weeks of unanswered calls, no feedback and broken commitments I have decided to take the legal option to try to recover at least some of my losses. <br> <br> Human lives were also put at risk and my own holiday ruined due to a inferior product and now Holdfast would not take responsibility.
