No refund on gifts

Recently i received a gift of clothing from H&MSANDTON for my wedding. <br> <br> As the item did not fit I decided to go to the store to exchange it for a bigger size. Obviously the item being a gift i did not have a receipt for it, the labels were still attached to the garment with the price coloured out and barcodes all available. The lady at the till wouldn't change it as i did not have a receipt.How exactly would i have a receipt for a gift given to me?<br> <br> This store needs to realize that if one receives a gift, there is no till receipt and if the goods are still labelled and brand new, the consumer has every right to exchange. <br> <br> I'm most disappointed in this store that only very recently opened their doors in South Africa and they are the only clothing store in this country not allowing to exchange goods given as gifts ......a disgrace!
