H & M - NO EXCHANGE FOR GIFT RECEIVED

My daughter received a gift of a dress for her 14th birthday, on the 16th December 2018 The dress was not suited to her and she requested that she would like to exchange it. Not refund, exchange. The store, in question in Table Bay Mall, flatly refused to let her exchange it for another item, as she did not have the till slip/gift slip. We subsequently requested the said slip from the giver of the birthday gift, who sadly did not have it. (purchased approximately a week prior)

So all out there ENSURE when PURCHASING gifts from H&M to ENSURE a gift receipt is attached as the STORE will NOT exchange under any circumstances. Sadly my daughter is the brunt of this stupid policy and loses out on a gift from her brother for her birthday. SO SAD Needless to say, we will not be shopping at H&M now or in the future, for ourselves or for any gifts of any nature .

Great on all the stores out there for not having this POLICY ... avoid H & M, it is just not worth the frustration, and waste of time, when there are others willing to give us the consumer CUSTOMER SERVICE !!
