False Advertising

Yesterday I visited an H&M store. There were some promo sweat shirts and signage stating From R179. I went through all the tops and found they were all priced at R229. After 10 minutes of trying to find a staff member, I enquired as to the pricing, only to be told it's am error and that there are in fact no R179 sweat shirts left. I proceed to ask for the manager, this takes another 15 minutes, after relaying the details to her, she escalates to her manager, who advises that I cannot make the purchase at the advertised price of R179, as the signage stated "From " Yet, whilst I was addressing the matter with the manager, the signage and all sweat shirts were removed. So if the advertised signage was correct, why remove it?
