Hello Peter Yesterday I went to H&M in Sandton to buy and exchange an item. The lady who was assisting me was exceptionally rude, unprofessional and very shocking in the manner that she conducted herself while assisting me. She asked to produce “a card"- when I ask what card she said obviously the card that you purchased the items with. To my surprise I showed her however couldn’t understand why she rolled her eyes and used the word obviously. I informed her that I was not aware that I needed to produce the debit card that made a purchase with she just needed to ask me nicely Her reaction was that " I'm telling you now so you know"- with this condescending tone and attitude. To my dismay and frustration, I responded by telling her that she cannot speak to me like that and think it’s totally unacceptable. She then threw the item I wanted to exchange and told me that she will ask someone to assist me because she doesn't have time to play and for these nonsense. She then walked away and uttered words like stupid, I responded to her “you are the one stupid to speak to customers in that manner "-she came for me, charged me and told me that I shouldn't think that I'm clever- her colleague (Tinyiko) held her back and reprimanded her to stop. She provided the name of her college as Boitumelo Mbatha She didn't stop, as she walked to the other department she was not aware that I was with my daughter who over heard her swearing at me calling me names like stupid “black person”. It was the worst day of my shopping experience in my entire life and thought I should report her to the floor manager (Portia Bali) who surprisingly didn't recognise and acknowledge the complaint as I relate it to her and the name of the person who seemed to have aggrieved me. Honestly I believe that this kind of conduct should be dealt with accordingly - most of the customers are being treated badly, disrespected and disdained and retail staff members get away with it and always became a repetitive behaviour. I still believe other Retail Stores should copy the Customer Service Experience at Woolworths – staff members there knows how to treat their customers
