Rather order online than pay more than double from HJM Offorad

Last week, we were looking for an awning for our 4x4 to mount on an existing Front Runner roof rack. We found a wonderful video online for an Eezi-Awn Lite 2m that costs under R4000 on their website. You just need a bracket set from Front Runner at R999. Including shipping from both places, it comes to less than R6000.

We asked Eezi-Awn who stocks their product in Cape Town because we thought we were leaving for Angola this morning and wanted to collect asap, and also get it mounted so as to not waste time. They gave us three names, of which HJM was the last one we contacted.

They were super quick with a quote via email, and followed up on it on WhatsApp. I was impressed . . . until I saw the quote: - double the online price for the awning from Eezi-Awn; - more than double the online price from Front Runner for the bracket set; - almost R1400 labour to mount the awning which will take under half an hour; - *and* R1500 shipping! Shipping??? It's a local fitment centre!

Total on quote R12814. Total spent today for the same items, including shipping: R5737!!!

This is taking chances to the extreme. Not acceptable. We will not support them, nor ask for a quote for the solar panel we also need.
