HJ Bosch and Sons = WORST repair shop in the Southern Hemisphere.

If this was my company, I would close it! It was to our utter displeasure that we had HJB&S appointed as the "company" to repair our Amarok bakkie... On the 25th of December 2017 we had a very minor accident, we took the bakkie to HJB&S as per our insurance's instructions. The assessment was done in January 2018 and the repair was scheduled for February 2018. Today is the 6th of July 2018... Here follows some of the events: While the assessment was done, the bakkie was with HJB&S for 2 months, when the bakkie was collected, we noticed that there was still items that was not repaired and when we asked the "Manager" about this, his response was, that it was not approved and we had to put in a separate claim, which meant another excess- when in fact it had been approved! We contacted HJB&S and spoke to the "Director" of the company, to voice our concerns and disappointment to which her response was: "What do you want me to do?" -Well; how about a: "Sorry for the inconvenience of our incompetence". So, once again we took the bakkie back for the 4th time, the remaining items was repaired and off we went, a few days later, it came to our attention that the plug that connects a trailers lights was not working, the bumper, being one of the items repaired, made it obvious that this was overlooked - when HJB&S was contacted, they claimed again that it was not a part of their job, but, again the insurance informed them that it INDEED was and also still a part of the first claim - being totally fed-up at this stage, we refused to take the bakkie back and they agreed to collect that bakkie as soon as the "part" was received, this took 2 weeks. (The plug is a stock item at any VW agent and is also available at Midas) We sold the bakkie in the meantime to a colleague and yesterday, when he hooked a trailer, preparing for a nice week away he realized that they had wired it up in such a way that the indicators and tail light worked when standing still but failed when in motion, so, upon investigation it was discovered that the part was NEVER installed as was claimed from the insurance company. Just comes to show that this company is *********** in doing their work as well as endangering the lives of their clients who put their trust in them. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE – if your insurance appoints them, trust me, insist on another repair shop!
