Disgusting After Sales Service due to FAULTY PRODUCT

<p>I am a physiothe****** and bought a portable phlegm suction unit from Hi Tech Therapy. Due to circumstances i did not open my practice and kept all equipment i purchased last year until required. I then required the equipment and upon first use of this machine it had a burning smell which i thought to be normal due to it being brand new. Bear in mind this machine is still within its guarantee period. On day two we then had a incident with this machine. It caught alight almost burning my house down as well. When i called Hi Tech Therapy i spoke to the GM who refused to accept any liability on his part claiming that its normal since the machine was used for the first time. He also kept pushing blame making ridiculous analogies stating that if i bought it why did i use it afetr a time period. This does not make semse as this should be safe to use as and when required. This was not a condition on sale that it had to be used within a time period. He does not want to accept that the item is faulty. He refused to listen to anything and didnt bother trying to assist. He made disguting remarks that its not a R60 000 machine its only R2700.00. Whether i spent R100 or R60 000, how can he treat his clients differently. This product is dangerous and not safe and they do NOT want to accept responsibilty. The product nees to be reveiwed as they may be a glitch within it. They do NOT want to reimburse me or change the unit. Bearing in mind it burnt items in my house due to the fire.</p>
