Zero Customer Service
I purchased a large Hisense fridge 18 months ago. At time of purchase, I was assured of the quality of the brand and that it was a strong up an coming brand to be trusted. In the event of a break down the fault would be dealt with expediently as the customer service as paramount. I logged my fault at 10.30am on the 27/2/24 whith my sore i purchased from. I was informed via sms that I could expect a call to arrange a technician to make the appointment to attend to the repair. This message was received at 16.39pm that was the last communication I received. I followed up the following day with my salesman and he assured me that a technician would be out that day, 28/2/24 supplying me with the company contact number subcontractor. I gave it till 2.30pm, then phoned them. The name of the repair contractors is Smart Appliances. These are the main focus of my gripe. I was greeted on the phone by Chanelle who heard my query. When I asked when I would be getting my technician to repair my fridge she knew nothing about it and that no technician was to be despatched to attend to the repair. This is despite being told that a technician would be despatched. When I asked when they would be coming out, her exact words to me were "you need to understand, we are based in Durban and you're in Scottburgh. We can not come out to repair only 1 Appliance, you must wait until we have other service calls in your area." Well I was flabbergasted at her statement and when I asked her who is going to pay for our food gone off she couldn't give me an answer, infact she was silent. Hisense is responsible for employing contractors to undertake their repairs, therefore I lay the blame squarely at the feet of Hisense. When I was a distribution manger with a large company with retail stores, I hired many subcontractors, and those that did not perform or give the customer service they deserved, I terminated their employ. This is a perfect case of non existent customer service, and I believe Hisense has a responsibility to protect its fragile market share and do the right thing by terminating Smart Appliances contract and hiring someone who wants to work.Im sorry but to be told that we will only send a technician out to a customer if there are sufficient customers to call on in a particular area is absurd. As things stand we have been told by the store I purchased from that the earliest I can expect a technician will be Friday. That means 4 days minimum without a fridge. When buying Appliances always ask who does the repairs in the event of failure. If it's Smart Appliances, run a mile. They have no place in business.
