Warranty claim - no accountability for a defective product
I want to express my utter dissatisfaction with the handling of my warranty claim regarding my 75-inch TV, which I logged on 1 April 2026. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
On April 14th, a technician arrived to assess the issue; however, he did not call beforehand as promised by your Customer Service team. I was in a meeting and unable to engage with him fully. I inquired about the next steps for either repair or replacement of the TV, and the technician informed me that someone would still come to collect it, as he was only there for the assessment. He noted this several times.
To my dismay, I received an SMS this morning indicating that my claim was completed. Upon contacting the call center, I was informed that the claim is void due to a supposed crack on the screen. I want to clarify that there are no visible cracks on the screen; the issue lies with the rubber components disintegrating and falling into the display, which can be clearly seen.
I find this outcome unacceptable, especially considering that it has been 15 days since I initially logged my claim. The TV is only 8 months old, and I am disappointed by the lack of accountability from Hisense for what is clearly a defective product.
I expect this matter to be escalated promptly, and I request a thorough review of my claim.
Now, after a prolonged delay, I have suddenly been issued a credit note. However, I am being instructed to return the defective TV to Makro in order to process this credit. This is not feasible, as the TV has already been disposed of due to the lack of timely support and communication from your side.
This situation has placed me in an unfair and highly inconvenient position. Had my complaint been addressed promptly, I would have been able to follow the required process. Instead, I am now expected to comply with a requirement that is no longer possible due to the delays on your part.
I request that Hisense review this matter urgently and provide a reasonable alternative solution that does not require returning the disposed unit. I believe it is fair, under these circumstances, that the credit or compensation be honoured without additional requirements that cannot be fulfilled due to your delayed response.
I look forward to your prompt and fair resolution to this matter.

The significant delays and lack of feedback led us to reasonably conclude that this matter was not being progressed, leaving us with no option but to replace the television. As such, your current request is neither practical nor reasonable under the circumstances.
