sucky aftersales service on faulty TV

Bought a 32" Hisense TV in 2013 from Pick n Pay. It would not switch on after 3 years of use. Took it to Hisense in Woodmead Johannesburg and told by technicians that the screen had packed up and there is nothing they can do for me and proceeded to give the TV back to me. They told me they did not have parts for a 3 and a bit year TV, that they only kept parts for 5 years. On pointing out that i 'd only had it for 3 years they then told me it was produced in 2011. I pointed out that not many people can afford to replace a TV every 3 years even every 5 years. I told them i'd had it for 3 years and that being produced 5 years ago had nothing to do with me. they had a responsibility to replace my TV with a working one because the fault is clearly a factory fault. No TV should stop swtching on after 3 years! I was then refered to a guy called Robin (maintenance Manager)who told the same story and clearly had very little respect and appreciation for a customer and had no authority. I asked if I could speak to his boss. I was horriefied to be told that they dont have a CEO based in South Africa , only have a sales office. I am left with a dead TV after 3 years and no one to repair it. I will never touch their products again. Don't be fooled by their 4 year guarantee. What they mean is If your TV packs up after 4 years Throw it into the bin!
