Spare parts are an issue, big or small.

Buyer beware! Think twice before buying a Hisense washing machine. 1) A little know fact is that appliance spare shops don't want to keep part for this brand due trouble they receive. I had purchased a washing machine, it worked OK but it didn't come with a small bag filter. All our clothes kept on get fluff and woolikies.(hot/cold/warm/different detergent and softeners). no shop or spare shop kept this spare part, it took a long time before we found a fitting bag filter, and you wouldn't believe what it catches now that used to go back into the wash. 2) The same washing machine had a fault recently, something from one of clothing items got down to the pump filter and messed with the pump. the washing machine stopped draining midway through and had a burning oil smell. I had called Hisense and they sent a mechanic over. The mechanic check everything and took things apart and found the time inside. he closed the machine up an left. I turned on the machine and water starts pouring out. i called the mechanic back, he had forgotten to attach a small over flow pipe. you would think the problem would be solved by now. Think again, the pump still stopped draining halfway through and the same hot oil smell. The mechanic came back a few days later to look again and we found the pump was over heating, like cook an egg hot. He told me has has to order a new pump and it might take a week or 2 depending if it came from JHB or CPT. It was frustrating but what can you do. 2 weeks later i ask if there is any feedback and i'm told he still waiting for the part, i said "ok can you escalate it". I get no response, a week later i ask again and no response, another week later. over a month later and after a few phone calls and escalations to management, is the part suddenly available and replace. It was very frustrating waiting over a month to get a washing machine working again.

The basic problem is "parts are a problem for hisense, small or big"
