Poor after sales service
I tried contacting Hisense head office in Cape Town however there was no answer. I thereafter e-mailed the people that assisted me with the previous quotation that I required (Naomi Martin, William Wang & Gerry Chen) however I did not receive any response to my mail. After trying to e-mail the same people 3 times with no response, I contacted the JHB head office. It was at 11:50 am on Thursday and I received a voice mail saying that the business hours are from 8:00 till 16:30. I tried again and got the same voice mail. This made no sense to me. I then contacted the customer services no. A lady by the name of Melanie answered my call. I told her that I required an estimate for a Sero 8 Pro tablet screen (F5281). She then told me to hold on but she cut me off. I then called back and Melanie once again answered my call. I told her not to cut me off as she did before. She did not even apologize for cutting the call. I requested for the quote from her and was told that it would cost R 950.00. I think told her that I purchased a screen from Hisense Parts Department in Cape Town in 2015 for the same price of R 950.00. I then told her that the price for the screen cannot be the same as it was 3 years and if anything it should be less as this tablet was discontinued by Hisense. Melanie then responded by saying that "prices of everything is so high" which also made no sense as accessories for older models of tablets normally depreciate and appreciate. Before I could respond, Melanie cut me off once again. I cannot believe that Hisenses' after sales support is so terrible. I purchased this tablet in 2015 and required a lot of after sales assistance and every experience that I had with Hisense was dismal. I regret ever purchasing a Hisense tablet. The only reason that I require this tablet to be fixed is that my child has autism and all of her personalized visual schedules are stored on this tablet. She is non-verbal and uses this tablet to communicate her needs to us. I cannot afford to get her a new tablet as she attends a special school for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASD is not funded by any medical health care providers and neither is it funded by the government therefore I have to fund all of her needs on my own with no external financial assistance. Therefore I was hoping that I could get the screen fixed however it is impossible to get any assistance from Hisense. Now I am extremely hesitant in purchasing any Hisense product due to the extremely poor after sales support.
