Hisense TV repair saga

After the extended warranty of 4 years expired the TV,a Hisense 50 cm failed. The supplier advised us to take the unit to the repair agent Haas Das directly as they were not getting good service from them.We did this on 5 March 2019 the TV was handed to Haas Das in Mossel Bay.It took three days to get a service report and on 11 March we gave them the go ahead to repair the unit. It is now March 25 and the unit has not been repaired .The LED's that are needed are not available. The numbers that are available for Hisense are not answered and in the one case the service hours are given despite the fact that it is in the middle of a working day. Haas Das have given up sourcing the parts and it was only our persistence that eventually got through to Hisense in Cape Town. They do have the parts available. We are close to a decision to replace the TV but then found out that all other makes of TV in the area are also serviced and repaired by the same Haas Das. It is difficult to decide which is worse Haas Das or Hisense or in fact the supplier Game that washed their hands of the whole thing. Watch this space.
