Hisense TV does not have functions are advertised
I bought a Hisense Smart HD TV (65U6G/S1Z1) last week, with a Hisense Sales Rep present and I asked the question if I will be able to add apps that is not already loaded on the TV, which the answer was yes. Being able to load new apps was one of the determining factors that concluded the sale. I followed the instructions in the manual how to load internal apps, it refers to the TVs App Store Icon, which was nowhere to be found on my TV. I then checked that this specific function is not marked as a function not present on specific models or regions, which it did not. I went an searched on the internet on how to do it, the videos and blogs keeps on talking about the App Store Icon. I was told to do a factory reset and check that all software was updated, which I did with no luck. I then moved onto loading external apps, followed instructions on the internet on how to do it, checked blogs to make sure that its possible, no luck. I logged a support call with Hisense with snippets of the manual, links to videos etc. I finally got a response to say that VIDDA their operating system doesn't have an App Store, but the manual refers to it and so does videos on the web. I was also informed that I am not able to load external apps on the TV, which according to the internet is possible. I logged a complaint with Hisense as was instructed by the call centre, no response. I am really disappointed in the fact that the Sales Representative told me that it was possible and the fact that the manual refers to functions that is not available (as mentioned I checked that their is no disclaimer stating that the App Store is not available on specific models of specific regions). I am not sure if anyone else experienced the same problem with this specific Hisense TV model as well. I am really disappointed with the brand
