Hisense, reinventing poor product and service delivery!
I'm absolutely shocked by both the product and the service I have received from Hisense. Quite frankly, these guys are in no uncertain terms re-inveting how far one can push the proverbial envelope pertaining to poor service coupled with a couldn't care less attitude or for that matter bluntly ignores clients when they quite clearly their product does not function 100% yet continues selling these units.
I purchased a 50" Hisense smart TV towards the end of December 2018. I have since had enhdless issues with the software and/or firmware. After contacting their service centre via their website I received a response from their operator in what appears to be a new version of the English language which didn't resolve the issue. Finally, I managed to get a number to directly contact the Hisense service centre and a technician namely Leroy was sent to come have a looksie with absolutely no success. Hisense made arrangments to exchange the unit due to the incorrect firmware loaded as well as a faulty USB drive making it impossible to update the firmware in order to watch Netflix.
The unit was exchanged for a new unit and again the firmware presented the same issue with Netflix (basically just about every time you switch the unit off or leave it on for too long, one is forced to reset the unit and set it back up again, log into Netflix watch for an hour or three and repeat). Again, Hisense sent out a technician (Leroy) with absolutrely no success and advised thay would send out a more competent and experienced technician.
After again making an appointment, the new technician (Cavin) came, managed to update the siftware asnd low and behold, the issue presented itself the next day.
Again, the technician (Cavin) came out and apparantly by no fault of his own the incorrect firmware was loaded on his USB device hence the issue again making it's appearance. Regardless, he loaded the "correct" firm ware and sure as hell, the next day back to the same issue, reset the TV, relog into Netflix and repeat evey single time you switch your TV on.
Again, I got i. contact with Hisense whom in returtn contacted the holding company and a couple of weeks later, scheduled an appointment after I followed up numerous times and again Cavin came out, albeit being about an hour and half late for his own scheduled appointment due to traffic I believe. He loaded the brand new firmware and...same thing.
Since then I've made numerous attepts to contact both Leroy and Cavin, I was advised the manager would be in contact on Tuesday, 12 March but not a single word.
The issue persists, both Cavin and Leroy now conveniently ignore my numerous messages and phone calls. The manager had never nbeen in contact and I'm sitting with the most frustrating TV known to man.
Add insult to injury, these usits are readily available for sale. Certainly, Hisense knows these units are faulty but conveniently turns a blind eye and continues selling these to unsuspecting customers!
* Be advised I have all the data and numerous messages and phonecall data available to back this thread up. Similarly, this experience is confirmed by the second unit with exactly the same issues.
