Hisense product support
I bought a phone last year January 2018(Hisense E76), two weeks later the touch screen stopped responding, I assumed moisture and did not want to claim false warranties therefore sent it in for repairs at my own cost, to my regret during the repairs, the technician damaged the battery. I struggled the whole year to get the repairers to replace the battery and eventually decided to take the phone back in November after 9 months of arguments. In December, I called Hisense, I was advised they do have the battery and I can go collect it at the Atlantis factory on 31/12/2018. I also asked for a cover as mine was damaged, I was told it was out of stock but was advised they will give me a call when stock is available, still waiting for the call....
After replacing the battery on the phone, I learned that the sim card tray was also missing (most probably lost during the long stay at the repair shop). In a desperate effort to get the phone working without any arguments I called Hisesnse to request a sim card tray and I was advised the device is discontinued and they do not have parts, how is that even possible for a product that is launched less than three years ago? now I sit with a phone that only worked for two weeks and the manufacturer tells me its old...indirectly so, I assume I am being told to throw it away and buy a new one, R3000 worth of my hard earned money down the drain.
I am very disappointed in the lack of effort and nonprofessional responses (emails with no signature or contact details of whoever is responding ) from the personnel at Hisense to do their job not to mention the service rendered and the support for products manufactured and designed by them.
Its shocking
