Hisense Poor Service Support
I own a 55"Hisense Smart TV. I got an Amazon Prime subscription and wanted to add it on my TV. The listing was not available on the appstore so I contacted Hisense support. I was told that I needed a software update. That's when the trouble started. After several calls they emailed me a file with instructions. Instructions that cost several more calls to get right. However, I eventually got the update running, the TV displaying a screen that shows "System Update". After a few minutes the TV restarted to a repeating pattern of blue, green, red and white screens alternately. Back the the phone line. Please note that I am using a prepaid cell service and the average hold time is around 15 minutes. After the expected "Do you have proof of purchase" and "the TV is out of warranty" debates, I lost my cool a bit and got passed on to the Supervisor by the name of Thuli. She said that as it was a software update problem they would repair my TV. Several calls later the Technician by the name of Jimmy arrived at my house and within minutes declared that the main board needs to be replaced. Skip forward more than a week and another number of calls and he arrives with a board that does not fit the model that I own. Many calls later, I am told that they will give me store credit at Game to get another TV as they do not have Spares for mine. Another 3 weeks another batch of expensive calls and no resolution yet. What have I learnt about Hisense Support? 1. If I do not call nothing gets done. 2. Hisense Support never calls back even when they promise to. As Thuli has done at least 5 times 3. They definitely do not care about the poorer customers that saved for a long time to afford their first "big" TV. It has now been 7 weeks and hundreds of Rands worth of airtime and I still do not have a working TV
More than 2 weeks after my review, many calls and frustrations later I am still no closer to getting a resolution.
The modus operandi of the call center is to simply put you on hold till the call "times out". You would hold on for 20 minutes and then just get a voice telling you thank you and then the line goes dead
