Hisense only renders services to individuals that resides in rich suburbs.
On 04 June 2025, I returned my TV to Game Zevenwacht due to remote control issues. They assessed the TV at the store and concluded that issue was the TV sensor and advised me to book it at customer service desk since it was still under warranty. Customer service refused to book my TV reason being it's too big (55") and they don't have space and advised us to contact Hisense directly and a technician will come to my house. I logged a service request with Hisense ref no: ***. on 05 June 2025 my service was cancelled with no prior communication. I immediately contacted Hisense, and they informed me it was cancelled because the technician declared my area as "high risk area" and I was shocked by this claim because I stay in a new development around Blackheath Cape Town. Additionally, last time I checked there is no "safe area around CPT not unless Hisense services certain class of people of which they should have mentioned such before taking my "unsafe" money! Hisense agent (new ref no: ***) then advised me to return the TV back to Game so that the technician can work on it there where it's "safe". My only concern was what if something happens while transporting this big TV back and forth? and I never got an answer, but she insisted that they have made arrangements with the store since last time they sent me away because of "space" constraints. Surprisingly, now they no long have "space" issues, I then took the TV back the store and when they test it the screen was now flickering of which it didn't the first time. I booked in the TV and a technician came and my claim was rejected due to "cracked" screen.
On 19 June 2025, I disputed the claim and escalated it to their Voice of Customer Service Department as I was not happy with the findings. I was assigned ticket no ***, and I've submitted all the required supporting documents. It has been over 7 working days, and I have not heard anything back from them.
I refuse to buy a new TV because this was not my fault, someone needs to be held accountable for this whole mess. Be it Game Stores for sending me back home with a 55-inch TV or the technician that refused to go to my house without even contacting me.
This whole thing seems like a **** that Game and Hisense are running to cheat people out of their warranties, they will send you back and forth until your appliance is damaged beyond repairs then REJECT your claim.
NB: I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A TV NOW FOR 29 DAYS & COUNTING..... I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!
Firstly, they only contacted me because of this review, let's not act like I was the one holding back the investigation. I have communicated with the team; I was not aware that I should take pictures before booking the unit. Nonetheless, I have provided them with one picture I could find on my gallery. Also where are the pictures from the technician's report? Where is the other supportive evidence? like call recordings, communication between technician & Hisense cancelling the request, the email from Hisense to Game proving that they had to arrange space for my unit and did you even check my address to support the technician's theory?? Most importantly the booking does not mention anything about a "cracked screen" I am sure if that was the case they are obligated to indicate that on the form. Truth of the matter is if Game had booked in my TV the first time or if the technician had gone to my house none of this would have happened.
At this point it seems like you are using the absence of pictures as a scapegoat whereas there is plenty of other supporting evidence.
