Hisense NOT honoring waranty.
We bought a Hisense dishwasher two years ago from Game in pavilion. t hasn't been a great dishwasher, but has served the purpose. A few weeks ago, it would no longer start. It still powered on, but the water from the previous wash would not drain and a new cycle would not begin. A Hisense technician eventually came out to look [organized through Game]. The technician found a large piece of hard, bent, plastic in the pipe. Now they are asking me to pay almost R2000 to fix, as they are saying the PC and Main board are blown and the dishwasher no longer powers on. I have two problems with this, namely, that the dishwasher was still powering on before the technician came, and now I am having to fork out more because it's no longer working at all, and secondly, that there was no way that piece of plastic could've got through the initial filters. My conclusion is that it must've been a part of the dishwasher before (maybe that's why it never worked very well). Hisense are refusing to fix as per warranty, siting a foreign object in the pipe; yet I am not accepting this and think it's a convenient excuse for them. Either way, I am not paying nearly R2000 to fix the machine, I will rather save up and buy a more reputable brand (lesson learned!)
