Hisense has No Sense of protective packaging for their TV's
I purchased a 75" Hisense QLED TV on Saturday November 30, 2024. The TV was checked upon delivery at my residence and it worked. The next day, I engaged the services of a professional TV installer who took the utmost care to install it onto a wall bracket. Unfortunately, after the installation, we noticed the "rainbow" lines throughout the TV screen and then noticed a small crack on the right-hand side bottom corner of the screen. This crack was perhaps caused by app**** pressure when picking up the TV to mount onto the wall bracket. Interestingly, the "protective strips" on either side of the TV does not cover the full length of the TV and naturally exposes the bottom corners of the TV to potential damage. My question: "Why does Hisense not provide protective strips that cover the whole length of the TV thus reducing the susceptibility of damage? I have claimed for a new TV via my personal insurance, which will be paying out soon. However, I am extremely cautious and nervous in buying another Hisense TV, noting the fragility and lack of protection that the manufacturer provides. I called Hisense customer care and the consultant was unapologetically brash and said there is nothing that Hisense can do. Perhaps, Hisense has just lost a sale to a competing brand with better protective packaging.
