Hisense has failed to properly address my persistent appliance fault
Complaint: Hisense has failed to resolve my washing machine fault
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the way Hisense has handled my washing machine complaint.
The problem with my washing machine is still persistent and has not been resolved. I have specifically requested that Hisense send out another technician for a second inspection, as I do not believe the information and assessment provided by the first technician was accurate. I believe the issue may be mechanical and needs to be properly investigated.
Despite making this request, nobody has come back to me and no further inspection has been arranged.
I am now left with a washing machine that is still not functioning properly, while my laundry is piling up and piling up. This has become extremely frustrating and disruptive, and I urgently need the appliance to be properly assessed and repaired.
My concern is not simply about getting a technician to attend. I am specifically requesting a different technician to conduct a fresh inspection, because I have concerns about the accuracy of the initial assessment. I believe I am entitled to have the persistent fault properly investigated rather than simply relying on the first assessment.
Job Number: ***
I am asking Hisense to urgently:
- Arrange for another technician to conduct a second inspection. - Properly investigate the persistent fault. - Consider my concerns regarding the accuracy of the initial technician's assessment. - Provide me with a clear update on when the second inspection will take place. - Stop leaving me waiting without any response.
I have made every effort to resolve this matter directly with Hisense, but nobody has come back to me regarding my request.
My washing machine remains faulty, my laundry is piling up, and I need this matter addressed urgently. I am asking Hisense to provide proper service and a meaningful resolution rather than leaving me without assistance.
Thank you for responding to my complaint on Friday and confirming that the matter had been escalated to your Care Department.
However, it is now Monday, 7 September, and I have still not been contacted.
I lodged my HelloPeter complaint early on Friday morning because I had already been waiting for feedback regarding my request for a second inspection. I therefore expected that, once the matter was escalated, someone would contact me promptly, particularly given the inconvenience I am experiencing.
I appreciate that you have acknowledged the matter and escalated it under job numbers *** and ***, but I am concerned that we are now at Monday with no call, no appointment and no further update.
This matter should have been receiving attention before I had to resort to lodging a public complaint. I am simply asking for the second inspection I requested and for someone to properly follow up on the outstanding issue.
My washing is continuing to pile up, and I cannot keep waiting without knowing when this will actually be attended to.
Please can the Care Department provide me with a specific update and timeframe for the second inspection, rather than another general acknowledgement of the complaint.
I would appreciate someone contacting me as a matter of urgency today.

I am extremely frustrated with the way Hisense is handling my ongoing washing machine complaint.
I have repeatedly explained to Hisense that I am requesting a different technician to conduct a second assessment of the machine and investigate the separate mechanical/washing-cycle problems I have reported. I am not asking them to repair the hinge.
Yet, instead of addressing the actual request, Hisense has now responded by sending me an explanation about why the hinge is excluded from the warranty and why the repair would be chargeable.
This is completely beside the point.
I have specifically told Hisense that they do NOT need to assess, repair, replace or quote on the hinge. I am asking them to investigate the mechanical fault affecting the washing cycle, which is a separate issue.
It is extremely concerning that, despite my repeated attempts to clarify this, Hisense continues to focus on the hinge and use it as a reason not to send a technician to assess the other fault.
I am not disputing their position regarding the hinge. They can leave the hinge exactly as it is. That is not the issue I am asking them to resolve.
My request is simple:
I want a separate job card issued for the mechanical/washing-cycle fault and I want a different technician to conduct a fresh assessment of that issue.
I have already had an assessment, and I am requesting another assessment because I am not satisfied that the problems with the machine have been properly identified or resolved.
Instead of addressing this request, Hisense has now effectively created an argument around a component that I have explicitly told them I am NOT asking them to deal with.
At this point, it feels as though my request is being deliberately misunderstood rather than properly addressed.
I therefore request that HelloPeter please take note of the fact that:
- I am not requesting a hinge repair.
- I am not asking Hisense to assess the hinge.
- I accept that Hisense considers the hinge excluded from warranty coverage.
- My complaint concerns the separate mechanical/washing-cycle fault.
- I am requesting a different technician and a second assessment of that fault.
- I am requesting a separate job card specifically for the mechanical issue.
I am honestly exhausted by having to repeatedly explain the same thing, only for Hisense to respond with information about the hinge that I am not asking them to address.
I purchased a washing machine that should function properly, and I expect the actual mechanical fault I have reported to be properly investigated.
Hisense needs to stop focusing on the hinge and address the issue I am actually asking them to investigate.
I would appreciate HelloPeter's assistance in getting this matter escalated appropriately and ensuring that Hisense provides a different technician to conduct a proper second assessment of the mechanical/washing-cycle fault.
