Hisense Bar Fridge Warranty Claim

I have a Hisense Bar Fridge that has been working flawlessly for the past 15 months. it has surge protection on it and suddenly, it stopped working outright - no noise, no power, nothing. I logged a Warranty repair on the Hisense website and received an automated response with the following Ticket Reference Number is ***. I then get a reply from a Hisense employee "Sandisiwe" stating that the Fridge is not in Warranty - it has a two year Warranty and is only 15 months old - perhaps things have changed but from memory there are 12 months per year; so 24 months in any 2 year period. The Serial Number was requested which has since been submitted to Abigail at Hisense. It is not easy to go through life with Warm Beer; your urgent assistance is appreciated!
