Hisense 75

I bought a 75 inch Hisense TV from Hificorp Beacon Bay on 8 May 2019. In the first week I noticed that there was quite a bit of LED backlight bleeding, especially in the bottom left corner. I went back to Hificorp in the first week and told them about this. They advised me that their shop demo has the same thing. I compared and found mine to be much worse. They logged a complaint to Hisense SA. After a week of not hearing anything I called Hisense and had to relog the call. One of their advisors emailed me and asked me for a photo of the problem whish I sent to him the same day. I didn't hear anything from them for about 2 months in which I did try and enquire. After a few more weeks one of the Hisense ladies called me to do a survey on their product. After telling her the entire story the same agent sent me another email that he apologizes for the delay and that he would get a technician to me ASAP. A local technician visited me a week later and confirmed that the TV was not right and that it was probably manufactured with this default. He also confirmed that it would not be a repair but an exchange.

I waited another 2 weeks after this... After not hearing from them I emailed the same advisor again. A week after my email a different gentleman from Hisense called me and asked me if I have had any response. I said no. He advised me that the TV was approved for a credit and that it would be sorted out soon. I received an email and went back to Hificorp.

Hificorp didn't have stock of the same set. So I decided I wanted a refund.

I called the manager of Hificorp Beacon bay and told him I want a refund. He advised me that they can not refund after 5 months. I told him that this complaint was in the first week of the purchase and that the TV was faulty from the beginning. He tried to convince me to buy another type of TV. I insisted that I wanted a refund. He rudely told me bring your TV.. Slip and proof of bank account

After this I actually felt like giving them another chance and told him if he could match Makros price on a different brand I would buy it. He told me head office wouldnt do it

I returned the TV with the invoice in its packaging that same day. I also emailed him a bank statement which contains all the details needed.

2 days later I got an email that they need confirmation of the bank account... I was furious.

I was forced to go into the bank and get a document from them which cost me an additional R60.

I sent an email to the manager as well as his admin lady a week after returning the TV. I got no response.

I started enquiring on their Facebook page. So today 11 November 2019 after asking their Facebook operator what was happening, I get another email asking for My ID nr.... Which they had to have from the beginning for TV license purposes.

6 months after purchasing this TV I am still without a TV and still haven't received a refund.

I will never buy from Hificorp or another Hisense product in my life again.

I would love to hear both parties response on this in a tight economy like we have.

Regards Fabian Bridger
