Don’t buy Hisense products

Hisense has terrible customer service. We purchased a Hisense tumble dryer off of Take -a-lot in August 2020. When the product arrived it worked for a day or two and then began turning itself off after 5 minutes of drying clothes. Yes these clothes were within the proper weight limits. We told Take-a-lot but they were not helpful at all and said we would have to direct our complaints to Hisense. Apparently Take a lot does not vet the quality of products like these. In other words, it was our problem, not theirs. Hisense asked me to send documents to them proving we bought the product from them and then they sent a technician, the technician could not fix the tumble dryer and recommended that we be credited by Hisense or have the dryer replaced. Though he had to write up a report acknowledging this, nobody followed up and I had to call Customer Service, who told me to email the credit department. A woman in the credit department was meant to get back to us. She then did email us and asked for our phone numbers. It was, at this stage, December. She never called us. When I would call customer service to follow up and ask for this specific employee’s office number, I would be given a range of excuses - we don’t give out her number, she does not work on Mondays, call again tomorrow - then I tried emailing this employee again and have yet to receive any kind of response.

I honestly feel like a loan shark chasing down someone who can’t pay their debt. At every turn, the onus has been on me to follow up repeatedly asking the same questions and just being passed onto the next person. I have given them the benefit of the doubt over and over, followed their channels, stayed polite and calm and I have gotten nowhere.

DO NOT buy Hisense products. If they work, you’re lucky. If they don’t, it’s money down the drain because nobody will help you replace it or get your money back. It feels like I have been conned.
