Do not buy Hisense - ****ty brand!

On the 1st August 2023 we bought a Hisense refrigerator from house and home model Number H70SB-IDL. On the 13 June 2025 the refrigerator stopped freezing and cooling. The matter was reported to Hisense and the store and they promised that a technician will contact us to make arrangements.

On the 17th June a ***** called us in the morning to say that he is on his way without making prior arrangements as promised by the service department. He opened up the refrigerator and concluded that the compressor and some panel device/board are damaged and it is due to ****roaches. He was in a hurry that he left some of the *****s on the floor. He said that he was will forward a quotation the same day but he never did. After trying to contact him numerous time, we were able to reach him the following day and he unapologetically said to us that he is running his errands and that our documents were left in the company's car.

The same idiot sent a report to Hisense that the warranty should be voided as the refrigerator was damaged by our ****roaches.

We bought this refrigerator for R22 000 and it only worked for less than two years.

Prior to that we noticed that food was getting spoilt especially fresh produce when stored in the designated drawer but we took it lightly. We even adjusted the fridge temperature to 2°C but still we kept on loosing money on food.

With our purchase we bought a 10kg washer dryer and trust me when I say it makes noise you would swear we have a disease generator.

The refrigerator came with a Robot vacuum cleaner. The device lasted for about 8 months then it kept quiet for good.

We had money to buy other brands but we thought Hisense was innovative and good looking but we regret that decision. Never heard an incident of a refrigerator being damaged by ****roaches.
