Disappointed with the Quality and Customer Service

Hello,

We moved into our new home and were gifted a brand new Hisense dishwasher (Model -H13DMS, Batch No. DC026) from friends in December 2022, and initially, we were pleased with its performance. However, after about a year, we noticed both racks beginning to rust. This is highly disappointing for a relatively new appliance, as one would expect better durability from a reputable brand like Hisense. I have removed the racks as it is a health hazard, so we are unable to use the dishwasher.

When I contacted Hisense customer service telephonically, I was informed that their warranty does not cover rust and that I would need to pay for replacement racks. I expressed my frustration, explaining that this is clearly a quality issue—why should I have to pay for something that is defective by design? Even if I did, the replacements would likely be of the same substandard quality, making this an ongoing problem.

It's unacceptable for an appliance to start showing signs of wear and tear so quickly. Hisense's refusal to take accountability for this issue has left me extremely upset. I cannot recommend this product or brand to others based on my experience. If you're considering a Hisense dishwasher, I suggest you look elsewhere for better quality and customer service.

Regards,

Hisense has responded by essentially washing their hands of the matter, claiming that the product is out of warranty and that the warranty is non-transferable. They seem to completely overlook the fact that this was a gift, as I clearly explained. Their stance is utterly disappointing and nonsensical.
