Defective Hisense Products
I purchased a Hisense television in August 2023. By the end of November the tv started giving problems. A technician was sent out, and the unit was replaced with a brand new unit in May. By September the second unit started giving the exact same problem as the first, of just switching off randomly. I once again called to complain. I was told that the warranty for a full refund had expired as the new unit continues from the initial date of purchase, and not from the replacement date. So they want to repair a brand new television of six months. How is this justified?

10 Oct 2024, 08:35Is it even legal to be selling defective goods, and then the blatant audacity to try and justify it.

14 Oct 2024, 09:40You can explain it any which way you choose. Nothing that you say takes away from the fact that you're selling defective goods. It was replaced, hence it's a brand new unit, that is not more than a year old in terms of usage. An Ombudsman will be in touch with you.
