AIR FRYERS SMELLING OF HEATED PLASTIC.

I recently bought a High Sense Air Fryer. When I used it the first there was a smell of heated plastic. I did some research and discovered that this is the norm and the manufacturers recommend that the machine should be run without food in it for up to an hour and if that fails, one should use a mixture of white vinegar and lemon juice and run it again. I did all that and cleaned the inside and out with dish washing liquid several times. Question is why has this not been rectified . The air fryer works well and I am happy with my purchase, but customers should not have to deal with such hassles.Air fryers are nort cheap
