ADJUSTABLE LEG NOT IN THE FRIDGES BOX

I ordered a fridge (H420BMI-WD) on takealot in September. I opened the fridge in December as I am moving this week. Upon unboxing the fridge, I found that the one adjustable leg is missing cause the fridge to scratch my new laid epoxy floor. I called the support and they told me I was supposed to open the fridge in 7 days and I have to pay for the leg now. But why send an incomplete product to a customer??
