50" Hisense Smart TV

I purchased at TV on the 23rd of November 2019. My TV was delivered on 24th November 2019. Due renovation the TV was installed 2 weeks later, when connecting the TV i noticed the optical port was damaged, I then notified the Hirsch's about the problem and they said they will log a call and send out a technician. A technician arrived 2 weeks later, he saw the damaged port and wrote his report. which read "Requires main board, due to physical damage on the optical port, customer claims unit came like that. " I spoke to Hirsch's and they said Hisense cannot help you because its Physical damaged caused by the customer. I know that i haven't damaged the TV, so I call Hisense myself, I spoke to customer care agent, he told me, I'll call you back in an hour, this was probably early December when I called.. Today is the 13th of Jan 2020, and he hasn't returned my call.. after numerous calls on the 23rd of December I called Hisense again and I spoke to Nathen Naidoo (Service Operations Manager) I explained my situation to him and he seemed helpful at the time and said to me, that i should send him pictures of the TV and the box, and Hirsch's should take responsibility for it, he said he will let Hirsch's know. On the 31st of December 2019, I received a mail from Alexandar Doraivelu, and he responded with this,

"Good day Sir .

I trust all is well.

We would like to apologise for the wait as we have been consulting with Hisense with regards to the tv . Unfortunately Hisense has rejected our claim for the exchange due to the assessment concluding it could be physically damaged , Wyona has tried everything possible to have this exchange granted but the supplier will not grant this . The fault is an input on the tv and i will have Wyona send through a quote for the repair of the unit to you."

I had a 60 min call with Nathen (Hisense), Alexandar (Hirsch's) and the sales person. Alexander refused point blank to replace my TV, the best Hisense could do was offer to repair the TV not charge me for the labour, I need to pay for the part, after hearing the outcome, I was frustrated and told Alexandar that not fair and why should be paying for a repair when I asked for the TV to be replaced, Nathen then said, I think you guys need to calm down because people are beginning to show their maturity levels, yes that was directed to me, a customer. Alexander also asked me if i really needed the optical port on the TV and was it really necessary for it to be working, he mentioned that there is other ways of getting audio out of the TV, and my question to him was, why cant I have all options working, for something I paid for. So the outcome of this whole situation is, Hisense want to charge me R1800 for a new motherboard and Hirsch's cant help me..
