Worst experience ever

I recently bought all my appliances from Hirsch’s. From an iron, to microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tv etc. and even beds. As you can imagine it was a lot of money.

I ordered everything on the 29th of October, they promised us everything would be delivered by the 31st of October, except for 2 single beds. Which we accepted.

The excuses started the very next day. They moved the date to the 1st of november, my wife had to take leave on her very first day of her new job to accept the delivery, only to hear late on the 1st they will only come and deliver the next morning, so she had to take leave for another half day. They only arrived the afternoon of the 2nd, and not with everything.

This dragged along with more and more promises of when the rest of our order will be delivered.

I ended up sending the COO a message, only then they started jumping to complete our order. We received our last items the first week of December.

One of the items I bought was a JBL sound bar. I did not realize immediately that the buttons on the unit does not work because I used the remote they supp****. I returned the unit to Hirsch’s, where they sent it off to be checked out. They fixed the problem and sent it back. According to the Consumer protection act, if an item is under warranty, which is until 6 months after I bought the unit, the supplier must give the consumer the choice to replace, repair or refund the item. I was never given the choice. When the unit returned it had a dent on the front grid, which was not there when they sent it to the repair.

I said I don’t want the unit like that and I don’t want a repaired unit. I paid for a brand new unit and I don’t want a repaired unit.

At this stage they refuse to give me a new unit and blame it on their supplier. With every issue and hold up, the staff find someone else to blame or a lame excuse.

I am so tired of Hirsch’s, I will honestly never support them again. This is the worst service I have ever received from anyone. This is after I spent almost R100k at their store.
