I bought a Defy machine about 3 years ago and and in December 2018 the machine broke. In January 2019 I called Hirch's for repairs and 2 of their call out technicians confirmed that the washing machine is broken.

The machine was taken from my home and to their warehouse to be fixed. A couple of days later we were quoted on an amount which at that time I did not have money. The machine stayed on their premises for a couple of weeks waiting for the payment. In month of March I contact Hirch's giving them the go ahead to fix the machine and I was re-quoted a higher amount and it was explained that the reason for the increase was because of the "price increase" and storage. Fair enough I agreed to it, received the quote and paid in the money.

Two weeks later I receive a call and an e-mail telling me that now the motor is broken and I need to pay in an EXTRA R 1 600 for it to get fixed.

I am no technician, however if a specialist/ technician is assigned to check the machine, I am entrusting this person the do things thorough. How is it that this was missed at the time of evaluation or inspection. How do I know that the machine was not handled with care while it was on their premises? The company had ample time to check this.

I called the company wanting an explanation as to why now I need to pay additional money and why was it not included in the quote and why was I not informed at the time of me giving the go ahead for the machine to get fixed. The explanation that was given to me did not make sense and I feel that I am being ********** . Why did the technician not take time to check for all broken parts in that machine and the correct quote to be given to me? The regional manager did not even care to resolve this issue but wanted to pull wool over my eyes. He resorted to telling me that the machine will be returned to me without being fixed. What kind of Mickey Mouse games are they playing. They are ripping customers off with their lack of knowledge on their business. THIS IS *********!!!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIRCH'S, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Money does not grow on trees and they think that they'll just charge as and when they feel like it.
