They want your private data before they sell you anything

I wanted to buy a microwave at Hirsch's Milnerton Cape Town but upon arriving at the store and wanting to buy it they wanted to collect all my details. They wanted my name, surname, phone number and address to buy it. I told them that I refused and that if they wanted my business they would sell it to me the old fashion way. They refused to sell me anything without first gathering my personal data.

I left the store and went somewhere else.
