Terms and Conditions of Guarantee not explained upfront.

On the 05/08/2023 I bought a Russell Hobbs S/S Jug Blender (RHB315) with a 2 year Guarantee, on Saturday the 04/01/2025 (16 months later) I took it back as it was not functioning with receipts and original box and I was told the guarantee has expired and I was suppose to have activated it online. On the day of the purchase I was never told anything about online activation by the sales lady Ms Sharon Naidoo and now that I'm bringing back the product that is not working I'm given a lecture of what I was suppose to have done on the day of purchasing. Very disappointing that the terms of guarantee are only explained when you return a product and not up front, I've literally equipped my kitchen from this shop for more that 10 years and the service I received last Saturday was very disappointing and for future I'll reconsider where to spend my money.
