Poor after sales service at Hirsh in Fourways
I purchased a washing machine from Hirsch on the 30th of October. The Washing machine was delivered on the 2nd of November to my new house where I was moving on the 1st of December. When it was delivered, the item was sealed with polystyrene on the sides and shrink wrap the item was not in any box. The delivery guys did not open the machine to inspect for any defects such as scratched and dents. On the 12th of December I opened the machine to install it. When I open the machine we noticed that the top of the machine was cracked. We immediately bubble wrapped it and stored it back into our garage. I then phoned the salesman to inform him about the washing machine crack on the top. He was on sick leave and ask me to contact the store manager about the problem. I informed the store manager, who responded by requesting a photo of the crack. I then decided to drive to the store with the machine and show them the crack. Upon arrival , I showed the manager the machine and he refused me to return the machine as it was not with the Polystyrene or in the original packaging, he claimed that the machine was bought three months ago. I told him then when we open the machine we did not know it was going to be damaged, therefore we threw the polystyrene away . He refused to accept the machine back as it was not in the "box" or polystyrene. The machine when delivered was not opened but he claims that the delivery team inspected the machine with me. I told him we only accepted the machine and signed for it and no inspection was done on the invoice the delivery guys had already ticked the inspection prior to delivery without my presences . After purchasing almost R30 000 they are unfriendly and impossible to help you. Please assist in returning this defect machine back and my credit.
